PRESENTATION OF 3DBIOLAB PROJECT PARTNERS

The realisation of 3DBIOLAB project includes work of 11 organisations, from 3 different countries: Slovenia, Greece and Austria.

 

 

Faculty of Education, LjubljanaUniversity of Ljubljana is one of the four Slovenian Universities. Faculty of Education is one of its 20 faculties. In academic year 2007/08 more then 2600 students visit one of its 18 study programmes. It consists of 9 departements:

  • Department of Fine-Arts Education

  • Department of Mathematics and Computing

Pro-EcoPro-ECO ltd. is a Slovenian limited company, established in 1991. It is an inventive consulting, educational and a developmental company specialised in development of innovative e-contents and implementing e-learning solutions for companies and institutions with consulting and technical support.


The company is involved in the development of individual e-learning contents and localization of foreign e-learning contents to the Slovenian language. We produce technical tools for the e-learning process support and for development of e-learning contents. The company is also engaged in the implementation of blended education (combination of e-learning and classical educational approaches).
Along with consulting, educational and developmental services, the company arranges meetings between their partners and thus help to build their excellence.
Encouraging the international cooperation and connection of companies, institutions and local communities for further economic, social and environmental development is one of the main focus of work. Company consulting in finding international partners and suitable partner organizations to create developmental ideas and generate mutual development projects with preparation of international theme cooperation meetings is executed.

Secondary school of Nursing, LjubljanaSrednja zdravstvena šola provides the realisation of public educative programme for practical nurse (4-year programme) and auxiliary nurse (3-year programme). Currently educaring programmes runs in 37 classes, which involves 1169 secondary school students.

School's main activities lie in educating young people. Its wish is to make students understand the importance of education and realise that they bear the responsibility for their own success. To that end, school offer to their students good guidance and good working conditions for success.

Their goal is to educate them in such a way that they become well-qualified health care workers, making them aware of all the challenging and demanding work that lies ahead when dealing with people. To achieve that, they train them to nurture honest relationships, to accept their decisions confidently and to control their feelings.

Primary School France Preseren, KranjFrance Prešeren Primary School is situated at Zlato polje - ("Field of Gold") in Kranj in socially low-class enviroment. Kranj is the capital of the Gorenjska and the fourth largest town in Slovenia. The pupils come from financially not very stable families. Many parents are unemployed. A 20 % of the pupils are children of different nationality ( Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian..). Today school have 674 pupils and 73 teachers. In 39 years the school has proved successful in many fields. Several different activities let every pupil have a chance to get on the fields of their interests. They are involved in many project since 1992 ( IEARN; Comenius, Minerva, Valnet, Enis school, My Europe…) They have a modern equipment, 2 computer rooms, and about 145 computer in the classrooms for pupils and teacher. The biology lab have a interactive table and electronic microscope. Teachers have many ICT competences. The school is modern school with perspective view of education.

IDEC is a training and consultancy company based in Piraeus, which is the port of Athens. Clients of IDEC are both SMEs and the larger Greek companies including the sector of the textile, clothing and food sectors, Entrepreneurs’ Associations, Universities and Chambers of Commerce/Industry. The personnel are mainly mechanical, electrical and software engineers with post-graduated studies and long-term industrial experience.

According to Presidential Decree 1233/81, which governs the organization and operation of the National School of Public Health (NSPH), its aims are:

  • to provide training, post-graduate training and specialised training for scientific health professionals in accordance with national requirements at any time,
  • to study all scientific and technical questions directly or indirectly connected with public health
  • to carry out scientific research in all the fields of public health and preventive medicine
  • to conduct public health and laboratory investigation and testing in matters of public health
  • to supply the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Social Services and other sections of the civil service with its expert opinion on matters which fall within its competence.

The NSPH is divided into 12 Chairs/Departments which cover a wide range of areas of study. The following special reference centers function within the NSPH:
National Salmonella and Cholera Reference Centre, National AIDS Reference Centre, National Nutrition Reference Centre, WHO Associate Nutrition Reference Centre, National Hepatitis Centre, Malaria Centre, National Environmental Issues Management Centre, WHO world programme on AIDS

Volkschule Riedersbach

 

 

BFI Salzburg, the second largest institution in further education in the Province of Salzburg, offers programs/courses in business, EDP and Multimedia, technical professions, tourism, social and health professions, Second Educational Channel, and foreign languages. 6,000 participants take part in the 500 courses offered per year. As a department of the Chamber of Labour BFI is a regional part of the social partnership. BFI Salzburg is an adult education facility in Austria which operates as fully recognised school for health and nursing

in cooperation with many hospitals and care institutions for the elderly. Foreign language training and project development and implementation are other strong points.
